Learning resources relating to specific COVID-19 vaccines
This page contains workforce education resources relating to the COVID-19 Spring 2024 Vaccination Programme.
The JCVI statement JCVI Statement on the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme Spring 2024 relating to vaccine deployment for the Spring 2024 programme was published on 7th February 2024 and the corresponding CMO Letter 7th March 2024 CMO letter Scotland.
To help support practitioners, NHS Education for Scotland/Public Health Scotland have revised and updated the Core COVID-19 vaccination eLearning and the vaccine specific learning resources. A short update learning resource, including details on eligibility for the programme and the vaccines being deployed, has also been developed.
Of note, now that the COVID-19 Vaccination programme has stabilised we have taken the opportunity to move material from the vaccine specific slide sets to units one and three of the core eLearning. The content has remained the same and continues to align with JCVI statements, Green Book Chapter and CMO letters. It is anticipated that this will result in much less duplication for learners, especially experienced vaccinators. The vaccine specific slide sets remain; however, they will relate purely to those specific aspects of the vaccines including composition, storage and handling and presentation.
Both new and experienced vaccinators may find it useful to review both the Core COVID-19 Vaccination eLearning and the COVID-19 vaccine specific slides.
This short update learning resource contains details of the COVID-19 Spring 2024 Vaccination programme including eligibility and vaccine available, it is intended that practitioners will also have completed the core eLearning and vaccine specific learning relating to COVID -19 vaccination. This resource should be regarded as additional information.
