Eat Well for Oral Health is a collaboration between Edinburgh Community Food, LINKnet Mentoring, NHS Lothian, and NHS Education for Scotland to create bite-sized learning resources for oral health. The Scottish Government provide overall governance and funding.

 

What to do
  • Complete your module
  • Provide your evidence on the SSSC website
  • Receive your Eat Well for Oral Health badge award

The modules do not need to be done in a specific order, can be done in your own time, at home or on the move.  The modules are fully accessible on your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or PC computer.

Early childhood tooth decay and the impact of sugar

Obtaining this badge is a two step process.  First, complete the e-Learning course below.  Once you have completed the e-Learning, a reflective account needs to be submitted on the SSSC website, unfortunately part 2 is not yet available so check back for this opening up.

 

Step 1: Early childhood tooth decay and the impact of sugar badge

This module is part of the Eat Well for Oral Health Open Badge. The aim of this course is to identify the causes of dental decay and suggest ways to avoid dental decay at an early age.

 

Step 2: Early childhood tooth decay and the impact of sugar reflective account

Once you have completed early childhood decay and the impact of sugar, you will be eligible to submit evidence to apply for an Open Badge on the SSSC Open Badges website by following the link and completing the reflective account.
