The webinars advised staff in adult care homes of the purpose and contents of the Specification and how to use it to support their cleaning services. The webinars explained the roles and responsibilities of staff and care home managers and also provided tools for improvement and quality assurance.

Scottish Government, ARHAI and NHS Education Scotland (NES) invited all care home staff to attend a FREE webinar to support the implementation of the new National Cleaning Specification for Older People and Adult Care Homes.

Duration: 90 minutes

  • The Cleaning Specification for Older People and Adult Care Homes and how to access it
  • The elements for an effective cleaning service
  • Your roles and responsibilities in managing cleaning services
  • Your role in the effective application of the SOP's and cleaning records as described in the specification
  • How the action planning process can support quality and assurance
