Scottish Government, ARHAI Scotland and NHS Education Scotland (NES) invited all adult care home staff to attend a FREE workshop to support the implementation of the new National Infection Prevention and Control Manual for Older People and Adult Care Homes (The Manual).
The workshop advised staff in adult care homes of the purpose and contents of the Manual including how to access and navigate through the Manual, how the Manual relates to current COVID-19 guidance, and explained the roles and responsibilities of staff and care home managers in implementing the Manual. Health Facilities Scotland also provided an introduction to the National Cleaning Specification for Care Homes and the Care Inspectorate provided information about the monitoring and inspecting process against the Manual.
