Like crew management, it is language that has been adopted by healthcare from aviation—in fact, it is part of crew resource management. Interestingly, as a concept, it is not universally embraced in aviation. This is primarily because it is very difficult to define or measure objectively. considering the complexity of health systems. However, as we will discuss in this webinar, it may be useful as a vehicle for capturing insight into information processing and decision making.
