National framework and national practice learning handbook
Following the Future Nurse and Midwife Programme Board meeting of 28th August 2019 the National Framework for Practice Supervisors, Practice Assessors and Academic Assessors in Scotland and the National Practice Learning Handbook for Practice Supervisors and Assessors was updated and the final versions of these documents are presented below.
Please Note: The Practice Learning Handbook is in the process of having the hyperlinks within it updated. We have kept the document available as the content otherwise remains relevant. The updates are expected to be completed shortly.
Framework
National Framework
The National Framework for Practice Supervisors, Practice Assessors and Academic Assessors in Scotland has been developed to provide guidance for the implementation of the these new roles in line with the Standards for student supervision and assessment (NMC 2018).
