The shadow side is a “catchy name” for the informal aspects of an organisation and refers to all those things that substantially affect the productivity, quality and efficiency of an organisation, for better or worse, but which are not found in its strategic plans, job description, policies, management systems, codes of practice or in the discussions that take place informal meetings.
