Resources for Knowledge, Information and Data (KIND) staff to build adaptive skills or meta-skills.

Introduction

This section of the website focuses on adaptive skills or meta-skills. Skills Development Scotland defines these skills as:

‘Skills for the future - timeless, higher order skills that create adaptive learners and promote success in whatever context the future brings. These are the skills that enable individuals to perform highly today; in a changed world of work they will be required by all of us.’

Meta-skills are key to enabling KIND staff to take a central role in the fast-changing digital world. They include, for example:

  • Ability to learn and re-learn

  • Creativity
