This section of the website focuses on adaptive skills or meta-skills. Skills Development Scotland defines these skills as:
‘Skills for the future - timeless, higher order skills that create adaptive learners and promote success in whatever context the future brings. These are the skills that enable individuals to perform highly today; in a changed world of work they will be required by all of us.’
Meta-skills are key to enabling KIND staff to take a central role in the fast-changing digital world. They include, for example:

U Lab is a free Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) run by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). U Lab supports the approach to public services in Scotland. It builds the skills required to work collaboratively and co-produce outcomes with others including those who use public services. It is highly participative and anyone can join free of charge. Blends e-learning (online videos and streamed live sessions) with face to face discussions in small groups.
