NES has established regional teach and treat clinics to provide support.
Teach and Treat Clinics give community Optometrists the opportunity to manage and treat patients under the close personal supervision of an Ophthalmologist whilst at the same time providing first class patient care for patients presenting with acute eye problems.

Each clinic you attend is worth 6 interactive CPD points, covering the Clinical Practice and Communication domains. AM and PM clinics are counted as individual clinics. The maximum CPD that can be claimed in any 3-year CPD cycle for Teach & Treat is 24 points (i.e. 4 clinics). You can attend more clinics than this, but we will only issue CPD certificates for 4 sessions.
When you attend a clinic, you will complete an attendance form. This will then be sent to us by the clinic, and we will log your details and issue your CPD certificates.
