Introduction
HCPC registered

The Health and Care Professions Council is the regulatory body for all AHP professions in the UK. In Scotland the Allied Health Professions are art therapists, dramatherapists, dietitians, music therapists,  occupational therapists, paramedics, physiotherapists, podiatrists, prosthetists and orthotists, orthoptists, radiographers (diagnostic and therapeutic), and speech and language therapists.

The HCPC Standards form the foundation of regulation and what is expected of registrants and education programmes and this information should be read by all returning practitioners and new graduates, or those being deployed into new roles.

HCPC also have guidance on how to ensure you are up to date and practising safely to continue to meet their standards. This covers guidance on confidentiality, use of social media and health and character and information on record keeping, scope of practice and providing online services.
