The aim of the learning resource is to support senior general practice nurses across Scotland to update their knowledge and skills as required for the refocused national role:

  • Public health, including primary and secondary prevention and addressing health inequalities
  • Care and support planning of long-term conditions including anticipatory care
  • Assessment of illness and injury
  • Supporting management of long-term conditions
  • Support of people with complex conditions or who are frail, as part of integrated community teams
  • Promotion of mental health.

Learning Outcomes

  • Evidence, Research and Development
