ScIL Recruitment

The Scottish Improvement Leader (ScIL) Programme is a key part of Scotland’s approach to address increasing demands across our public services by developing QI capacity and capability. 

We are now recruiting for ScIL cohorts 36 and 37.

Applications will be accepted from Tuesday 14th September 2021.  

All applications are to be submitted to the QI Team at NES (qualityimprovement@nes.scot.nhs.uk) by 10am Friday 15th October 2021. 

Cohorts 36 and 37 are open to colleagues working in Health and Social Care or Excellence in Care, within targeted areas of Scotland, as well as individuals working in national organisations/national roles.

The targeted recruitment areas are:

  • Golden Jubilee (Cohort 36)
  • Greater Glasgow and Clyde (Cohort 36 and 37)
  • Highland (Cohort 37)

These cohorts are also open to all other public sector employees across Scotland, including individuals supporting the Children and Young Peoples Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC).

Please note individuals working in the above targeted recruitment areas must speak to their board QI Lead lead prior to completing an application form, as recruitment to these places will be based on local strategic priorities.

All applicants require explicit senior sponsorship from either (a) NHS Director, (b) Director in Scottish Government, or (c) equivalent senior leader in a Public Service or Third Sector organisation to undertake the programme, to lead improvement projects, and to teach and coach others.
