Stroke is the third leading cause of death and leading cause of serious long-term disability among the elderly in Norway (1). Inpatients with acute ischemic stroke, rapid treatment with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) is crucial for a good patient outcome. The effect of IVT is stronglytime dependent, every minute counts (2,3).
Aim: Reduce median DNT to < 20 minutes at our hospital for patients with acute ischemic stroke eligible for thrombolysis by August1st2017
