High quality post diagnostic support (PDS) in dementia remains a national1and local priority area. The diagnostic and PDS pathway was process mapped across Dumfries & Galloway. This revealed that people living with dementia are not receiving equitable provision of informationat time of diagnosis. There is also variation in timeliness, order and make-up of post diagnostic information and support. This was reinforced by anecdotal evidence from people living with dementia (plwd) and practitionersAIM: By the end of June 2017, everyone diagnosed with a dementia via the Psychiatry Service in the Stewartry Locality of Dumfries & Galloway will receive high quality person-centred post diagnostic information at time of diagnosis
