New Quality Improvement Learner Pathways
NHS Education for Scotland is launching new quality improvement learner pathways in 2025/2026, designed to provide staff with the right knowledge and skills to support change and improvement in their organisation. Two pathways, Kickstart QI and QI Essentials, were launched on Turas Learn in April 2025. Two additional pathways, Practical QI and Managing QI are to be launched in August. The QI Zone is in the process of being refreshed and updated to support easy access to these new learner pathways.
Having the right skills and knowledge to support change and improvement in the workplace is key for both employees and managers across health and social care. Two new learner pathways will launch in August, focussed on developing quality improvement knowledge and skills.
The two learner pathways to launch are Practical QI and Managing QI:
Practical QI is for anyone who wants to gain practical experience of QI methodologies, it will provide the opportunity to practise using QI tools, frameworks and methodologies in the workplace. It will have a blended structure of eLearning and facilitated sessions
Managing QI is for managers and team leaders who have a role in managing change and improvement to enable them to create and sustain the conditions for improvement. It will have a blended structure of eLearning and facilitated sessions
