NHS Education for Scotland (NES)

Category A calls are deemed as the Scottish Ambulance Service’s highest priority of call, identifying patients with potentially life threatening or time critical injury or illness. In order to manage patient safety and risk, it has been identified that 75% of these calls should receive an ambulance response within 8 minutes. Aim - By 31st August 2016, at least 95% of red calls with an extended ETA (>8 minutes) will receive a clinician call back.
