It is associated with adverse outcomes within the intrapartum period. A review of available clinical and pharmacological data suggests that the use of low dose regimens can improve outcomes for women and their babies. Aim: To introduce a standardised low dose oxytocin regime for the induction and augmentation of labour in Ayrshire Maternity Unit by June 2015 Sub-aim 95% compliance with oxytocin bundle by June 2015.
