Interruption in patient flow in Emergency Departments leads to ED overcrowding, increased wait times for patients, and increased risk of adverse outcomes to include increased morbidity and mortality. This improvement project focused on internal ED systems and processes in order to improve the patient experience time in ED for a designated group of patients.
