The Adult Resuscitation Team (ART) were called out to 217 emergency 2222 calls last year. The ART never met prior to a call and were dissatisfied with current arrangements. They wanted to improve team performance and they were keen to follow guidance from the Quality Standards for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which suggests due to team members changing frequently, the ART should meet at the beginning of their shift to optimise team performance.
Aim: To optimise team performance by improving compliance with The Quality Standards for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (as set by the Resuscitation council) to 80% by June 2016 and start work with a Trainee Improvement Advisor to develop, implement and evaluate change ideas.
