Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is a major cause of maternal morbidity. In June 2013 the Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) launched the Maternity and Childrens Quality Improvement Collaborative (MCQIC) which oversees/encompasses the activity of the maternity, neonatal and paediatric strands. Its overall aim is to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities in outcomes by providing a safe, high quality care experience for all women, babies and families in Scotland. Project aim: Achieve 95% overall reliability with the Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) Prevention Bundle in Hamilton Community Team by June 2016.
