This SCQF level 6 awarded PDA in dental and medical reception skills give individuals the opportunity to gain a qualification in their occupational field.
NHS Education for Scotland are delighted to announce that applications are invited for the dental and medical reception skills training programme, commencing in April 2021.
This blended learning programme will utilise a range of different methods to support your learning and progression. The webinars will be delivered via an online platform and you will be provided with guidance and support to enable you to access teaching sessions and complete assessments online and electronically. Therefore you will require access to a laptop or computer that has a webcam facility and broadband internet access.
The programme is primarily a vocational course with many practical elements applicable to the trainee’s workplace. It is a blended learning programme and will be delivered online by webinar and tutorials/small group learning.
Central to the programme is a series of five training events throughout the year. Personal development is key to the course. The course is modular and candidates are required to successfully complete all 5 units of study. All units are supported by a learner guide. Attendance at all webinars, tutorials and the final assessment day is compulsory.
Upon successful completion of this programme, candidates will receive a PDA qualification at SCQF level 6.
Candidates attend a total of five workshops (approximately one every two months). Assignments are set following each workshop. Topics include: Health and Safety, Customer Care, Dental Reception Skills, Reflect and Develop, Supervise an Office Facility, Developing Skills for Personal Effectiveness.
