National Enhanced Recovery in Colorectal Initiative (NERCI)
The aim of this initiative is to co-design with clinicians from around Scotland, an agreed Enhanced Recovery Pathway for Colonic Resection and pilot it across multiple centres. Along with this to develop, test and sustainably implement a web based Data System to support local and national data collection to further improve care within Scotland. Results to date demonstrate a reduction of two days on average in hospital stays with minimal complications and readmissions
